Padel courts approved in the Cotswolds
IC Planning has successfully obtained planning permission for a new padel court facility in Gloucestershire, as part of a farm diversification project. Once operational, the club will address the growing local demand for opportunities to play padel, the fastest-growing sport in the UK.

Plans approved for new community and youth facility in Ashington Town Centre
IC Planning were delighted to gain approval at Northumberland Strategic Planning Committee for a new community and youth facility with new public open spaces at Wansbeck Square in Ashington Town Centre. The developement is a key component of the Ashington Regeneration Programme to help bring footfall to the town centre and create a welcoming and inspiring gateway from the new train station.

Durham County Council's proposed new headquaters recieve planning approval
IC Planning is delighted to have secured planning permission for the change of use and extension of the Rivergreen Centre at Aykley Heads to create Durham County Council's new headquarters. The plans include a new, purpose built council chamber and entrance lobby.

Planning permission granted for UK's largest lithium extraction facility
Weardale Lithium has gained unanimous approval at planning committee for its planned lithium extraction facility at Eastgate, County Durham. IC Planning have led the planning strategy on this significant regeneration and mineral extraction proposal.

Contractor Brims Construction is making excellent progress on the construction of a new educational skills and training centre in Loftus, Redcar and Cleveland. IC Planning helped secure planning permission for the development in February 2023.

Planning Approved for refurbishment and expansion at Rockliffe Hall Hotel
IC Planning is delighted to have helped Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort secure planning permission for a new standalone fine dining restaurant and listed building consent for a complete refurbishment and reconfiguration of the main hotel.

Exciting progress for Placefirst on-site at Benwell Dene
Contractors Lovell and Applebridge have successfully completed the first phase of foundation works at Benwell Dene in Newcastle. IC Planning worked on behalf of Placefirst to secure full planning permission in July 2023 for the development of 146 new homes.

IC Planning attended the Property+Padel Conference in Canary Wharf in October. The event discussed the challenges navigating the planning system for the UK's fastest growing sport. IC Planning is actively working with clients on new sits across the country.

Three applications submitted for Battery Energy Storage Systems
IC Planning has submitted three planning applications for BESS on behalf of Fig Power in Newcastle, Gateshead and North Somerset. If approved, this will provide a combined total of 210MW of essential energy storage to support the National Grid.

Erin celebrates first year at IC Planning
